Buckeye Fabric Finishing Co.
Last week I tried something new. I had been presented with an opportunity by my husband’s aunt. She asked me to come to the company she works for to get updated employee pictures. On my way there I was feeling nervous. I haven't done this type of photography before. When I walked in, I was welcomed and invited to sit down and have lunch with all the employees. I definitely didn’t expect that, but it helped me relax and everyone was so kind. I was then asked to take pictures of the awards banquet as well. They were celebrating a huge accomplishment.
This company is called Buckeye Fabric Finishing Company located in Coshocton, Ohio. I got to hear their story. This is a special company and felt it needed to be shared.
They are celebrating 100 years of business. One employee received an award for 25 years of service and two others received 50 years of service. This is very impressive. I think it shows the work ethic of these gentlemen, but also the type of company this is. The president of the company, Mr. Lee shook my hand and thanked me for coming. He was so kind and spoke highly of his employees during the awards.
So what does this company do? They do custom fabric coating. For example, they do coating for things like tents, awnings, and truck bed covers. They also have a sister company Excello Fabric Finishers, Inc. It is also located in Coshocton.
The best part about this company is that it's all manufactured in the USA! This came directly from their website," Buckeye Fabric has been a leading supplier to the US Military for over 4 decades. From World War II through the Vietnam War, Buckeye Fabric’s wax-coated cotton products kept the United States military and their equipment dry." www.be-fabric.com I think that is so cool! I'm glad I had this opportunity and the chance to try something new.
