Contest Time

My very first blog post! I always dreamed of having a blog, it was on my list of 100 dreams. I don’t know exactly what I’m doing, but I’m loving it so far. Side note: I encourage you to write out 100 dreams it can be anything, but it has helped me step out of my comfort zone. Another example on my list was to donate blood. I have now donated three times!

Back to the point of this post and I’m starting it off with a bang. I’m a winner! Another side note: I never win anything. However, I was picked as one of the winners in a contest.

I had entered a few pictures into a calendar contest for Heritage Cooperative. We use the Fresno store a lot to buy feed. This is the first time I ever entered something like this. It honestly made me nervous, but what did I have to lose? Nothing. I had honestly forgotten about it until I received an email from their Marketing Manager. One of my pictures made it into their 2023 calendar! It will be the picture for the month of November. The picture that won means so much to me (see below). The picture is of my husband’s family farm called Triple Hill. The farm was named after the three big hills throughout the land by my husband’s family. I envisioned this picture in my head and it took a while to find the perfect spot to get it just right.  It was a beautiful day the day I took it, and it all came together perfectly showing all aspects of the farm. All together there are 140 acres. I loved the picture so much this past Christmas I had it put on a canvas for my in-laws. I’m thankful for this farm and that we get to raise our daughter here. I’m so proud of this accomplishment!

Thank you for sticking around for this first post. I already have some ideas for future posts, so stay tuned! Also, a big thank you to Heritage Cooperative for having this contest!
